This high carbon steel cutter features special cutting edges that enable you to cut stainless steel fret ends almost flat and very close to the fingerboard edge during refretting work. It is a solid built tool that lasts for years and remains sharp. The rubber handles gives you both comfort in cutting along with enough leverage.
The lock system provides safety to prevent injuries. For your safety and prevention of unexpected damage to the neck, this TL-FC28S has a T-shaped lock system with an oblong cutout in the center. Slide it upwards to LOCK, or downwards to UNLOCK.
By the way: you might notice a whitish spot on the blade (as pictured) in proof of a trial cut at the factory to guarantee the quality. Be sure not to consider it as a used/2nd hand!
